The Tageselternverein offers a wide range of services for children, parents and daycare personnel. But the website that evolved in the course of many years with numerous “home-made” extensions was cumbersome, convoluted and its design no longer contemporary.
Also, the course portal, which was previously published as a brochure and involved a lot of administrative effort for the association with written registration and participation processes, was to be digitally integrated.
Definitely no walk in the park!
The target groups were addressed in a joint workshop and the relevant content summarised in a user-focused way. Based on an intuitive user experience with a clear structure, a new screen design was developed which guides each target group by means of speaking icons and colour coding.
The integrated course portal, which authorised daycare personnel access by login, not only offers an overview of current continuing education and training courses, it also automates the registration process inc. cancellations, available places, attendance lists and confirmations. This leaves more time for the association’s actual tasks: educationally valuable childcare, early childhood education and the commitment to the qualification of childcare personnel.
